Local Yakima Events to Try This Summer

Yakima is known for its events year-round, but summer is especially fun! At Quail Run, we’re very proud of our Yakima-centric lifestyle—between the beautiful parks and trails, tasty craft beverages and wineries, and lively concerts and festivals, Yakima really has it all. This month, we’re rounding up some of our favorite local events!

Bill’s Berry Farm is a great place to go pick tasty, juicy strawberries! But that’s not all—they also have a great Farm Store with homemade treats and souvenirs, Barnyard Train rides, an Animal Farm, and those wonderful hot strawberry donuts!

The Jamboree is great for all ages, so it’s a wonderful time for adults and kids alike. Plus, it’s family-owned and operated, so you’re supporting a local business while also having a great time!

Through October, this open-air farmer’s market is the place to be every Saturday morning! Aside from the mountains of fresh fruits and vegetables, you can find cut flowers, plants, fresh-baked artisan breads, Washington cheeses, cookies and pastries, and so much more!

Once you’re done in the market, explore Prosser’s wineries, museum, library, and unique range of shops! Plus, Prosser City Park is close to most of the events held in Prosser throughout the summer season.
